Who are we?

ESC is the largest and oldest swimming club in Eastbourne with over 300 regular swimmers and with a long and interesting history. Whether you are interested in swimming or water polo, and what ever age and standard you are, we have something for you.

When and where we train

The club has a structured training programme enabling you or your children to swim at the level that suits their abilities. The main club night is Monday at the Eastbourne Sovereign Centre although we also utilise a number of other local pools for other sessions throughout the week.

How do we run Eastbourne Swimming Club?

The management committee of the club are all volunteers who meet every month for two hours to make decisions on the direction, management, structure, policies and financials of the club.

We would welcome any thoughts you have about how we could organise or run the club better.  Just get in touch with any of the committee or officials and share your ideas.

We would also love to welcome anyone to help out on the club committee - its more interesting than you might think and you can really make a difference.

Alternatively, you could arrange to just sit in on a committee meeting to hear what goes on and maybe have a say in some decisions that affect your children's involvement.

Please get involved... this is YOUR club!

Did you know that all the teachers and helpers at training evenings and galas etc are volunteers?  The club relies on parents and friends of the club who give their time to ensure the club continues to provide this invaluable resource to you and your children?

Why not help to time some races at a gala? (Its fun and we'd make sure you had someone with you the first time) or you could help organise the children ready for their events.

Its a sad fact that we are always short of people to help run the club. Out of over 300 regular swimmers, only a small handful of parents help out.  Even if you can only spare a little time now and again, please get in touch.
